Audio-Technica has released a new camera-mounted digital wireless system, designed with a speedy setup for fast shooters – System 10.
The new wireless system features 24-bit/48kHz wireless operation, in a 2.4 GHz range. With a 12-hr internal rechargeable battery (receiver only), battery indicators on each display, and the ability to connect up to eight transmitters to a single receiver. Audio output is via a 3.5mm mini jack, with a switch selection between TRS balanced/unbalanced (dual mono), a separate headphone port and volume control.
The receiver has multiple mounting options to accommodate most cameras or recording devices, and each of the handheld, lapel or body-pack configurations come with a receiver, transmitter and a hot/cold shoe mount. In addition, the system is designed to automatically select channels, sync and setup, meaning not only will you be able to start filming quickly, but it should also stay free from TV interference.
