KODAK STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – SUBMISSIONS OPEN

The 25th annual Kodak Student Scholarship Program is on again this year and is currently taking submissions.

The international program is designed to encourage up-and-coming students who show a high degree of creativity in the art of motion pictures. The program is held in conjunction with the University Film & Video Foundation and is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Grants include three Kodak Student Scholarship Awards; and two Kodak Student Cinematography Scholarship Awards, one of which, the Kodak Vision Award, is awarded to a project which has been shot on at least 50% celluloid.

Seated at this year’s judging panel is the renowned cinematographer, John Bailey, ASC (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,American Gigolo, The Big Chill).

Winners will be announced Wednesday, August 3, at the 70th annual UFVA Conference, hosted by the University of Nevada Las Vegas, August 1-4, Green Valley Ranch Resort, Henderson, Nev.

Kodak Student Scholarship Awards:

  • Gold Award — $5,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $5,000 Kodak Motion Picture Product Grant.

 

  • Silver Award — $3,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $3,000 Kodak Motion Picture Product Grant.

 

  • Bronze Award — $2,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $3,000 Kodak Motion Picture Product Grant.

 

Kodak Student Cinematography Scholarship Awards:

  • Kodak Vision Award — $3,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $5,000 Kodak Motion Picture Product Grant. To qualify for this award, a minimum of 50 percent of the submission must be shot on film.

 

  • First Place — $3,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $5,000 Kodak Motion Picture Product Grant.

 

Deadline is Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Submissions are online only and need to include Youtube or Vimeo links to the students showreel, or samples of their work. Winners will be announced August 3, 2016.
