A Filmmaker’s Guide to After Effects – by ‘Godzilla’ Director Gareth Edwards

The online training program fxphd have re-released the VFX course taught by Gareth Edwards as a “fast forward course to the general public”.

The course A Guerrilla Filmmakers Guide to After Effects was originally taught by Edwards following his work on the BBC drama Attila the Hun, he then went on to director the indie film Monsters and the world-wide hit Godzilla (currently playing in theaters).

This video is a preview of the full course (available for purchase here) and in it Edwards breaks down shots, techniques, and workflows used during the making of Attila the Hun.

Note: the video below uses an early version of Abobe AE.
