NAB 2017: DPA RELEASES NEW MICRO FIELD RECORDING D:VICE FOR IPHONE

DPA’s new d:vice MMA-A is a cute little audio interface designed for cell phone video recording, ENG journalists, vloggers or for even capturing foley in the field.

It works with iPhone/iPads, Mac, or Windows computers for a puny, on-the-go recording solution.

The two-inch-wide d:vice MMA-A is a two-channel mic preamps and A/D converter with mono, dual, and stereo capabilities. So whether you’re recording a two-channel interview or a capturing ambience in stereo, the d:vice is supposed to make life easier for journalists and vloggers.

It comes with interchangeable lightning and USB cables and MicroDot inputs allow d:vice to be connected to all DPA miniature microphones including d:screet Miniature, d:fine Headset, d:vote Instrument and d:dictate recording mics.

Functions like preamp gain and high-pass filters can be controlled through the smartphone app, where you can also save your own presets. Third part applications can be used to perform live broadcasts and other specific tasks.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

DPA have bundled the micro recorder in a number of lavalier and headset kits with prices starting around US$700. Available June 2017.
