Easy to use and highly responsive, this ultra-slim compact 3x zoom (equivalent to 27 – 81 mm in 35 mm [135] format) smoothly transitions from wide-angle landscapes to close ups thanks to its electrical zoom. A maximum reproduction rate of 0.55x (in 35 mm format) combined with a minimum focus distance of only 14 cm (5.4-inches) from the lens tip results in macro-lens-standard close-ups. While built-in Vibration Reduction allows superior movie recording and pristine images, its retractable lens mechanism means you can instantly point and shoot.

Retractable for easy travelling and storage, this super-telephoto zoom lens delivers outstandingly precise images along with beautiful bokeh. A massive 70-300 mm focal length (equivalent 189-810 mm in 35 mm [135] format) is packed inside its compact, lightweight body, while a focus limit switch enables faster AF operation by limiting the autofocus range to the telephoto side only. In a double first for 1 NIKKOR, Super ED glass gives stunning sharpness even at maximum aperture and you also have the option of a detachable tripod mount.
