Launching this week is the 360fly, the world’s first 360-degree, single lens video camera, which also doubles as the widest viewing, single lens camera ever.
This new little cam-that-could captures panoramic HD video, in a water, sand and dust-resistant dome-shaped camera, that fits in the palm of your hand. The device shoots 360º horizontally and 240º vertically, capturing from every angle, all at once and carries a 32Gb internal memory, with two hours of continuous recording.
The camera comes with a detachable mount, that can be placed or fixed anywhere. Footage is transferred to a smartphone using the device’s built-in wireless functionality and when used alongside its interactive 360fly app (available on Apple App Store and Google Play), users can shoot, edit and share footage where ever they are – so long as your phone has a signal. There’s also a desktop app for those who prefer to fine-tune their videos.
A recent update now allows users to post their videos on Facebook (through Android or iOS). Viewers can then choose how they watch the footage, by swiping their screens in any direction, putting them right in the middle of the action.
