JVC 4K CAMCORDERS NOW AVAILABLE

The highly anticipated new 4KCAM product line from JVC is finally available for purchase, offering a lot of grunt and a variety of choices for both professional filmmakers and videographers.

The range includes GY-LS300CHE, which is a handheld 2K/4K CMOS Super 35mm camcorder, with 4K UHD capture at 150 Mbps 24p/30p (to non-proprietary SDXC cards), an MFT mount and Variable Scan Mapping for use with Super 16 and other sized lenses.  The 2K/4K GW-SP100E mini remote camera head and recorder, features similar specs to its bigger brother but with a 4K UHD capture at 4:2:2 150 Mbp 50/60p.

The GY-HM200E is a 4K camcorder with HD streaming capable of 4K UHD at 150 Mbps 24p/30p (to non-proprietary SDXC cards); 8-bit 4:2:2 Full HD (50Mbps) with a 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS chip. The compact GY-HM170E delivers 4K Ultra HD images in an economical, palm-sized camera with professional features.

All the new cameras feature dual SDHC/SDXC card slots for dual, backup and continuous recording. The camcorders also include a 3.5-inch LCD display and 1.56 megapixel colour viewfinder, each with smart focus assist functions, and offer two-channel audio recording. And although both the GY-LS300CHE and GW-SP100E use the same Super 35mm sensor, MFT mount and JVC codec, the GW-SP100E is in a completely new product category for JVC”.
