Costume Designer Betsy Heimann Discusses Her Creative Process

Betsy Heimann’s career as a costume designer for the film industry has spanned over thirty years. 

She first began working on the 1981 made-for-tv, adult version of  The Pee-Wee Herman Show.

Since then, her costumes have featured in films such as Almost Famous (2000), Pulp Fiction (1994), Reservoir Dogs (1992), Jerry Maguire (1996), Red Dragon (2002) and Lady in the Water (2006) just to name a few.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences video series, Creative Spark recently asked Betsy where her ideas come from. This resulted in a mini-documentary exploring Betsy’s work and her creative processes.
