The Point of View documentary showcase on the PBS network recently released the findings of their Documentary Equipment survey, which had some surprising results. Whether you’re a hobbyist, a filmmaking noob or an award-winning documentary maker, this equipment list will help you to decide what items you need for your next project.
POV asked filmmaker’s about the gear they like to keep in their kits, computers & smart devices, from editing software, animation tools, lenses, cameras, recording devices, apps, lighting and so on, in order to get the most comprehensive gear list they could. They also asked the filmmakers about their experiences when using these tools and which gear items they preferred and what they didn’t like.
